TO HOLD 6TH ANNUAL FINE ARTS FESTIVAL
The
Buda Fine Arts Festival Committee welcomes your attendance
at the 6th annual Buda Fine Arts Festival.

On the greenbelt in Historic Downtown Buda.
Admission is free on weekend events.

Art
After Dark: Special Gala Preview/sale of art, ticketed event
Friday, October 2nd, 7-10 pm. Early purchased tickets are
$25 or $35 at the door for fine foods, wines, music and meet

Art After Dark and Wine Tasting tickets now on sale at the
Buda Chamber office!
More than 60 juried artists will exhibit fine art for sale
both days. Oils, pastels, pottery,
glass, mixed media, photography, sculpture, acrylics, and
fine jewelry from artists across Texas will be featured. A
special exhibit of Kinetic Sculpture by La Paso will grace
the grounds. Several artists known for their artwork such
as Jeannette Pursley, with her European oils, Joellen Simmons,
historical Texas oils (Alamo featured at DRT), Claire Newby
wildflowers, (Texas Wildflower Artist of the Year) will exhibit.
Awards for Best in Show, as well as Peoples Choice awarded
to artists.
Demonstrations, live jazz music featuring with Jason Seed
and the Elixir with a "Kids Arts Area " sponsored
by Texas State University art students complete the festival.
A quilt show sponsored by the Onion Creek Senior Citizens
will be held nearby at Buda City Hall both days as well. Food
and drinks are available on the festival grounds and from
the many friendly Buda restaurants. Please plan to participate
in the Silent Auction of donated artwork. The auction supports
scholarships for art students at Hays Consolidated Independent
School District.
Buda, known for the "World Famous” Wiener Dog Races
and is located just 15 short miles south of Austin on Interstate
35. Take the Main Street exit, travel about one mile into
town and look for the large, white tent! Contact

The Onion Creek Senior Citizens Annual Quilt Show
The Cinco de Mayo
Quilt will be on display at the Quilt Show in City Hall during
the Buda Fine Arts Festival. Raffle tickets will be available
at the festival and at the Quilt Show for $1.00 ea of 6 for
$5.00. The winning ticket will be drawn at Santa Cruz Catholic
Church’s Seniors Luncheon on Dec 6th. The winner will
be contacted by phone if not present at the drawing. The quilt
is made by the Buda Bee Seniors of Buda.
